Last weekend Jeremiah turned eleven years old. We gave him a Phllies t-shirt since he LOVES baseball. He looks pretty happy with it, doesn't he?
Jeremiah really wanted to be able to play a ball game with his friends. So on Sunday after church, we had three good friends join us for lunch (hot-dogs, chips and apples) and then Joel took all the boys out to a local field to play a game of baseball. I am so thankful my boys have some good friends that we enjoy spending time with also. We love all of these boys families!
They came home after the game and we had cake and icecream for Jeremiah. He really had an enjoyable day.
This past Friday Joel's parents came up, even with the pouring rain, and joined us for pizza. Mom M. made homemade cookies to bring along for desssert. The kids have been requesting cookies and I haven't had the time to get them made, so they were a big hit. Jeremiah recieved a Nerf gun and vest. He and his brothers and neighbor spend a lot of time playing with their weapons, so he was very excited about this gift.
We love our Jeremiah. It is hard to believe that he is eleven years old already. He is tall, at five foot one already, and loves sports of all kinds, especially baseball and football. He really loves checking on Daddy's and Pop-pop's fantasy football teams. He enjoys science in school. Jeremiah is still our busiest, most rambunctious child, our Tigger. And we thank God for him. He is very good with Luke and I recently found him sitting IN the crib with Luke, reading him books because "Luke was lonely in there, and I knew he wasn't allowed out." Jeremiah comes up with some good ideas, and he isn't bashful. At Civics Day on Friday,Jeremiah raised his hand and proposed a new law to the representative there, and his law was the one that was chosen to be debated!
We thank God for you, Jeremiah Daniel!
In other news, Luke has the worst rash I have EVER seen. He was at the ER last night (until nearly 1 am- we really thought he was going to be admitted because our pediatrician said to be prepared for that), but since the infection is only on his skin, not infecting his blood, we can treat him at home. He was a champ about getting his blood drawn, no tears at all! He is still feverish and miserable and covered in red angry looking pimples (resembling chicken pox somewhat). He is on antibiotics and we hope will feel better soon. We go back to the Dr. tomorrow.
