Our little baby is getting B.I.G. He is nineteen pounds now and is growing in so many ways. Timothy has three teeth, and has been working hard on the fourth one. He can stand up and walk around with little walker. He eats some table foods: bread, banana peices, orange slices (he loves them and screams for them) pancakes (he ate two of them this morning), and other little bits of food.
We are trying to transition him to sleep in the crib in the boys' room, and most nights he sleeps there, but he is still often waking at night. He naps in the pack and play in our room still to make sure he isn't disturbed by all his fans.
Timothy loves Nate, and Nate is such a great big brother to Timothy. He spends time playing with him, caring for him and often just has him sitting on his lap as he reads his school books, or carries him around as he goes about his day. Right now Nate is trying to keep Timothy happy until I finish this up. Rachael of course, is a huge help. She is my right arm anymore. I sometimes think I couldn't do it without my capable, willing and eager helper girl. She is always happy and willing to help with Timothy and Luke, or dinner or especially desserts :)
Days have sure been busy here this winter with school and sickness, and all kinds of extra things to do with paperwork and and scheduling and planning. Having a little baby around sure doesn't make it any easier. But boy does it make it sweeter. All of us adore Timothy and are so thankful to God for the gift of another little baby to love. We aren't here on earth to have an easy time of it, but to serve God and bring glory to Him. We pray that we accomplish that in our everyday, ordinary lives as we go about homeschooling, and caring for sick children, and working through tough problems. Learning more about love and sacrifice and our need for grace day by day.
Thank you God for all eight of these children that bless our home. Thank you especially for our sweet, littlest one, our baby Timmy. What a blessing.
