Practice Makes...Lots of Noise!

Nate and Jeremiah are in their second year of drum lessons. They are doing fantastic. One thing they are encouraged to do is listen to familiar songs (we use our worship CD's and Seed's Worship CDs) to be able to get the beat and follow along with the music. This is tricky since they need to anticipate what is coming next. Asher loves to sit with (literally, he tries to be on their laps) the boys and listen to the loud music and the drumming. After two twenty minute practice sessions a day, I like to go sit as far away as possible. And that is only with the drum head they use to practice on. They love to get on Pop-pop's full set and get to do that once a week. If the little ones are there on a practice day they enjoy dancing around to the music while the boys are playing. Every other week they practice rudiments, and the off weeks they get to learn the drum set.
Both boys get pretty excited seeing the youth band at church on occasion, and it gives them incentive to keep on practicing away in hopes of being able to worship God with music when they are big.

Maybe I should buy Asher little headphones to protect his ears! I love how much these boys love each other! Asher mimics and wants to be involved in everything they do.

Baby boy update: Had my second Non stress test yesterday. I was there for two hours as the baby would not cooperate. It doesn't help that the placenta is anterior (in the front) and blocks the sounds in certain areas. I was about to head down for an U/S when they decided to give it one more try. Baby cooperated and I was able to leave an half hour later!!

I spent the rest of the day washing baby clothes, cleaning out a closet and making space in that closet for the little dresser full of baby things!
