Make a wish! Baby-Girl!
It is our tradition to give each of our children a "friends" party for their eighth birthday. Rachael turned eight in August, but we planned her party for last weekend. Rachael wanted a tea party with the dolls. Each girl brought her favorite doll along for tea. We had fun making necklaces for the girls, and tea hats for the dolls. We had cupcakes for the girls, and mini cupcakes for the dolls. And tea pots full of pink lemonade for the dolls to drink out of little tiny tea cups! The girls had a lot of fun. After doing a Hot-wheels themed party, and then a Bugs themed party for Nate and then Jeremiah, it was very enjoyable for me to do this very pink, very girly party for my Rachael. On the menu were tea sandwiches, fruit kabobs and pink iced cupcakes. The girls also beat open a pink pony pinata to get at the candy, lest you think they were too lady-like!
We are so thankful for our Baby-girl. We are thankful she has some good friends and cousins to play with and grow up with. Happy Birthday again, Rachael!

What a fun idea! I love hearing about other family's traditions :) We've been thinking about letting Jacob have a "friends" party this year for his fifth birthday, but waiting till eight sounds even better. I am so glad for you, Dani, that you have Rachael to be pink and girlie with...the tea party looks like it was loads of fun! Why didn't you include a picture of the little ladies whacking the heck out of the pinata? Must have been quite a sight...Hee-hee!!
what a cute paryt Dani, Kayiah sure would have loved to go to a teaparty wait except for all dolls that would actually be her worst nightmare lol. I love that 1st pic of Rachey and the one of you two together, she is just precious, how special to finally get a little girlie party going on!
It was, according to Kate, "The best party I have ever been too!" Thanks for a wonderful time. It is so fun to watch our girls be girls with other girls when they are more often surrounded by boys!
Wow, it's been a while since I visited. How fun to get to have a girly party! Danielle and Rachael - you two shine so beautifully amidst all those Madi-men! Happy belated birthday Rachael!!!
