Lukey is Nine Months!

Oh Boy! How can this be?? Luke is growing up so fast. We all love our Baby Luke. He is doing all kinds of new tricks, like standing up and beginning to cruise around the coffee table. Thankfully, he learned to sit back down from standing quickly and we did not have many days of screaming because he would get stuck.
He is eating three meals a day, and has quite an appetite. He still favors banana over everything else. He is also a huge fan of Gerber Puffs. In banana flavor :) I like to joke that the Gerber company puts something in those puffies because since they have come out (they were not around when our first four were babies, we did zwieback toast then) and we have purchased them, our babies have been addicted to them! Luke gets excited to see the container. It keeps him happy for a long time in his high chair.
Luke is outgrowing most of his clothing. I need to purchase him some spring clothing, probably in 12 months size!
Luke takes two naps a day, and is doing much better at night, although he is still up 2-3 times a week to eat at night. The other days he sleeps through. Looking forward to that extending to all the time.
The children are teaching Luke all kinds of tricks. Benny is convinced that he says, "Ben Ben", and I have heard it and it seems possible. The other ones are working on getting him to say all kinds of words. He mimics the children when they growl at him, and laughs at their silly noises.
We are also teaching him "more", "thank-you" and "please" in sign language. He is getting it.
I was so worried after his big fall down the basement steps that there would be some brain damage that didn't show up on the CT scan. God is graciously showing me that our baby Luke is growing and learning just as the rest of them had.
Thank you God for our little Luke Adoniram. How we love him!! Happy Birthday Lukey!

Happy birthday Lukey!!!! I can't believe what a big boy you looked like today:o) Grace agrees with you that puffs are pretty wonderful!! She wants you to know that the cookie/biscuits rock too....although she hates when they (or puffs) get stuck all mushy on her hand.

Can't believe how soon they will be one!! woah!!
