Happy Birthday to our little Turkey. This year, Eli had his birthday the day before Thanksgiving. Elijah is doing so well in school and he is reading well. It seems he catches on to the phonics rules and things pretty quickly, which is wonderful. Eli is all in to policemen so he was thrilled with the gifts he recieved; playmobil police vehicles. Mommy and Daddy gave him art supplies since he is starting to spend more time drawing.
Cake for breakfast! With all the other goodies to eat on Thanksgiving, no one ate Eli's birthday cake. So we enjoyed it with milk, regular or almond, for breakfast the next day :) We are so thankful to God for our little Elijah. He is a neat little boy with a fun personality. He is a deep thinker and he is a great big brother. Eli loves to play outside with his brothers, but is equally as happy inside with his cars and little men.
Thanksgiving was wonderful. I had my camera, and as usual forgot to take pictures. Joel's family all crammed into his mothers' home for a great meal, and lots of fellowship.
Saturday we were excited to attend the wedding of our niece Kimberly to Andrew Hallman. The kids all declared it was the fanciest thing they have ever been to. And given our usual resturant choices of McDonalds or Subway, they are probably right. The wedding and the reception were both beautiful and we had another great night with the expanding Madison family. Above is Rachael "dancing" with Timothy. More like swaying. I don't think she dances :) But some of my nephews do, and really well, it was fun to watch them. And what a blessing to see Kevin out there dancing and being a healthy ten year old this year. God is so good.
Cutting the cake.
My beautiful blessings. Luke was especially proud of his tie!
