Update 2

Kevin will be getting both radiation and chemotherapy this week.  Please keep him in your prayers.  He will be inpatient for this week.  He has not regained any sight in his eye.  It doesn't seem likely, but God can do it if He wills.

Joel, Nate, Jerem, Benny and even Elijah joined Joel's brother and three of his sons as well as a few men from their church on a hike saturday.  They did about four miles.  Joel had to carry Eli for the last part :).  Kevin was able to go along, and it was a blessing to see him enjoying some outdoor, boy time in the midst of lots of medical treatments.  Our boys came home pretty tired, but happy to have done a rather difficult hike.

Also my friend, Susanna, and her husband are traveling on Thursday to an E. European country to pick up! their new daughter, Katie!  They will also be inpatient at CHOP for a bit after their return due to Katie's severe malnutrition.  The flight home will be attended to by a PICU nurse and I know the family would really value your prayers for all of them, especially Katie.  This transition may be very difficult for her to make, physically.  But we here at the Madi house are so excited that a little orphan no more is coming home to the welcoming arms of a mommy, daddy and ten siblings.  God is good.
